rallylights.com is my go-to for lighting info and bulbs and housings (for my cars that take the old rectangle sealed beams). They don't list nissan or infiniti by name, but you can look up the bulb numbers easily enough.

By the way, do the stock fog lights just suck? I put one of these bulbs I had from another car in my G37 housing to see if it improved things. Nope. Nada. Basically a yellow tinge around the headlight beam is all I get. Is the stock beam pattern on these just junk?

2 year warranty and their customer support is great.

However, if you're looking for a upgrade I would recommend Osram Cool Blue Boost bulbs. They can be found for under $150 on ebay. I found some for $115 before.

I didn't buy them because I'm running Cool Blue Intense bulbs atm and I plan to ride these out until I really need to change them. Going on 3-4 years now and I still notice every night how bright they look.

My brother has the 35w morimoto hid kit in his camry with projector headlights. He has the 5500k bulbs. My osram cbi outperform the morimotos in every way. Not a equal comparison though. His camry has aftermarket projector headlights vs my oem headlights with sti-r clear lens swap upgrade.

I still recommend morimoto for value/ performance and good customer support when you need to use warranty..

Correct. Getting to the bulbs is simple too. Removing both front wheels will give plenty of access room. Just pull back the fender liner and the bulbs are behind the dust cover. Simply twist off the dust cover counter clockwise and you'll see the igniter plugged into the back of the bulb.

Remove the igniter by also turning it counter clockwise. It turns maybe 1/8th turn and you can feel it when it unlocks.

The d2s bulb is held in by a retaining clip. This clip applies a constant spring pressure on the bulb holding it in place. To remove it you have to put a finger on the end (far left or right, I don't remember) where theres a metal tab. Press the tab away from you and than pull down or up (also don't remember). This releases the retaining clip from the lock position. Swing it to the side and pull out your old bulbs.

the retaining clip will stay in the headlight. It should not fall and get lost.

d2s bulbs must be installed in the correct orientation. Simply line up the notch cutouts on your bulb with the headlight.

So had a VQ35HR fuel rail arrive while I was out for christmas. Damn, those rails are beefy - basically 3/4" steel square tube main galleys.

Almost had a side trip to pull a VQ35 lower intake manifold from a 2008 G35 but wife nixed that idea due to travel time. And to be fair, my only tools were a leatherman and a pair of scissors. I mean, I could have gotten it, but...

So 1 part away from putting the VQ35 upper manifold in the car. I got teased by my local LKQ with a 2008 FX35 but that is still the 35DE engine according to wikipedia. Shame, they have 40% off this weekend too...

How much do you guys think I could get for my OEM Akibono's, with pads/rotors with tons of life on them, and even the front baffles as some sort of sport upgrade kit for someone?

 

I'd love to swap my 2013 non-logo sport brakes (they're powdercoated black, btw) with actual labeled Akebonos. Red would be even better...

I've seen the prices of just the calipers but I thought I could maybe get more if it was in an almost complete upgrade kit. Most people don't offer that.

 

 

given the calipers sell for 600-800ish probably 900-1000?? just a wild guess...I think the reason people dont usually sell them together with selling the rotors is shipping is so expensive by the time you add that cost its hard for private sellers to compete with placing selling them new that subsidize the shipping ...buyers usually scoop up the calipers fast vs, for rotors they tend to sit for a while unless someone picks them up locally

I painted my calipers black a while ago, you can get decals for a few dollars online...I got mine here Decals a while ago I think I got "copper" coloured ones...just spray a high heat clear coat on after to make cleaning easier....ebay also has options but somtimes they screw up the sizing especially for the rears...there is also a template floating around somewhere if you want to get them printed locally
