I don't.
But on the expressway, in light traffic, passing several cars/trucks, even set on the tightest following distance, it still leaves more than enough room for someone to leapfrog in front of you...
And then, said leapfrogger slides in front, and since they had to gather far to much speed to pass and fit in, slams on their brakes to avoid plowing into the car that was previously in front of you, causing everyone to have to further slow down. But they got one car ahead.

What car is this? My G overrides the intelligent cruise control when the accelerator is used.
While this seems like a pain, the reality is that the algorithm is designed to keep you within physical braking limits. To be honest, if you're that close to another vehicle and you had to emergency brake, you would be involved in a collision. Simple dynamics. Using my ICC is a constant reminder to just how unsafe driving practices can be in simple commuter traffic. I am not free of that assessment.

And that's the ultimate problem with leaving the proper amount of assured clear distance. One, or two cars, will quickly occupy that safe distance, regardless of if you're using ACC or not.
Ford Explorer. No ACC on the 6MT Gs.
My friend's 07 G35S has the tech package with ACC.
I don't have it. But I'm not missing it... in 5 1/2 years, I've probably used CC often enough to count on one hand. I didn't even know ACC was a thing until we bought the Subby.
That I've heard of. That was a 2009 option, wasn't it? And not something on the 6MT, but I don't really know. Nobody really seems to talk about it here.

This is my friend I was talking about.
hi friend.
I am happy to say I am said friend. And, yes, I have ICC on my 07 6 spd. (Very convenient on the highway on the morning commute. Not so much in the afternoon.) It's part of tech package. Also, have the adaptive headlights. (Help with the early morning joggers in the neighborhood. They like to meander.)
ICC sensor integrated unit
I believe the owner's manual states it will only brake up to 35%. I call malarkey. It will stop hard.
