Let’s revive this thread so I can ask a coilover question.
I can find the TEIN Street Basis Z for $445 shipped. Found a set of the Flex Z on FB for sale. Never been installed, per the seller, and can get them for $580 shipped.
Do I go ahead and spend the extra in case I need to adjustability of the Flex or save some money and just go for the Basis? What would you do?
Flex Z is adjustable but the spring rates are quite a bit stiffer vs. the Basis Z. If you are wanting a firm track-oriented ride the Flex Z FTW, if you want something closer to OEM the Basis would get the nod. There are many that think the Basis Z is perfect for a closer to stock ride, but there's also quite a few that have found them a bit bouncy on washboard-type situations.
Also quite a few that have found the Flex Z too firm for daily driving, so it's a bit of a quandary
It depends on your roads. Basis Zs are pretty soft as they are meant to be comfy on the 500lb lighter Z. Damping is also so-so... a little too soft for low speed stuff (i.e. handling), a little too stiff for harsh stuff (i.e. comfort). Even with the bad reviews the Flex Zs have got here, if your roads are smooth I would spring for them. A lot of G coilover kits are as stiff and people don't seem to mind... plus EDFC would be key with the rear shock adjuster.

Thanks for the input, gents. My roads in SEKY definitely aren't the best in the world, but they aren't the worst either. I'm most worried about the bounce, if it even rears its head. I don't think I'll mind stiff and I'm still younger, so I can take the abuse for a while if needed haha. I think this is a great deal on a never-installed set of coils, so I'll probably take him up on it. And if I hate it, I'll sell em, take the L, then get some Street Basis
Took my G to local Nissan dealership for some work last week. One of the things was to clean the throttle bodies due to my rpm's dropping low at stops. I had them change my drive belt while in there just because I didn't feel like tackling it. Anyway, I popped the hood today after working all weekend and none of the dust looks disturbed. (Yes my daily gets dirty) Belt is new for sure but I pulled my intake tubes to get a look at the throttle bodies. Not been touched. I have no doubt about it.
Why would you pay the dealership for that service when you can honestly complete the whole thing yourself with a $6 can of TB cleaner and a microfiber towel in 30 mins tops from start to finish?
Esp after pulling off the intake tubes, its only 8 bolts after that

On a side note. My shade tree mechanic that I use occasionally said he wouldn't touch the things. He said they can be a nightmare.

The issues usually come because people don't do the idle relearn.
Why does it seem like everyone has issues cleaning their throttle bodies? I cleaned mine back in June 2017. I disconnected the battery and had no issues. Even with touching the butterfly. Car still runs great.

Didn't even do the idle relearn.
From what I have read the newer model year ones have less of a problem with this. I also disconnected the battery. The problem was the idle surged from like 500-2500 over and over and no relearn procedure worked. Luckily it fixed itself after about a week.

I've owned (2) 2010 and 2013 sedans in which I cleaned the TB numerous times on all of them. Unplug neg batt, take off intake tube/piping, unscrew 8 bolts (4 each side) clean, reassemble. I move the butterflies and clean everything. Trick is not to unplug the wire harness or hoses as then you will need to do the relearn. Outside of that, you shouldn't have any issues at all.
