NEW PSS seems marginally quieter compared to the stock re050a's on asphalt. Haven't driven the car on a concrete interstate yet. That will be will be the real tell. Bridgestones were superloud on that surface.
The S-04s ended up being the best overall price of the options I was considering in the ~$200 summer tire category, and the highest rated on nearly every online retailer. I think I'm going to be very happy with them.
I thought about the Extremecontact DWs but they were about $100 more for a set of four even after the rebate.

Curious what the going price is for the PSS that I use in the rear, at 275/35ZR19... I just looked up pricing at Tire Rack. They're asking $337 each.
Yikes!
That's going to hurt next Spring, because this will probably be my last season for the rears.

Damn, almost $700 bucks for two tires. But you'll get about 4 Summers out of those Rochester? That's not a bad investment when looked at it that way since you have dedicated winters.
When i switch to 245/45/18s it will be 235.75 a tire for me. I'll do the two in the back first, then when i go for the next pair i'll switch the back to the front and put the new ones on the back....

If the last two years are any indication, that's 3 years life for the rears, and likely 4 years for the fronts, driving appoximately 4-5k miles per year.
Honestly, I think all you can realistically expect out of high performing summer tires is 15k.

Just ordered my new shift ****...a little teaser from the vendor site, full details revealed at install
Meet [Name Removed], weighing in at 735 grams! The broader cylindrical surfaces make side-arm shifting effortless while providing a domed top face for palm shifting.
TRANSLUCENT FINISH
The translucent finish is achieved thru a meticulous powder coating process which includes multiple stages of careful hand work. The shift ***** are brush finished by hand to create a consistent horizontal brush pattern. To achieve the translucent effect, we apply a coat of electrostatically charged clear powder that is tinted to our desired color. Then the shift **** is precisely baked at a specific temperature to create a super smooth, durable and translucent finish!

FINISHING TOUCH
The finishing touch on the [****]is our optional shift gate pattern engraving. After the [****] is powder coated, we put it back into our CNC machine to engrave the shift gate pattern. The stainless steel shows thru the powder coating which makes your shift gate pattern pop!

Why would you put a shift pattern on the ****? It's already screen printed on the aluminum trim. But even if it weren't, it's not like you don't know where the gears are.

On top of that, insuring the **** is secured in a way that has the shift pattern in perfect alignment... that's got to be tough.
I wouldn't bother with engraving, unless is some logo or symbol that means something to you personally. And even then, nah.
It's not you.

That said I am not getting a shift pattern engraved - something else.

A 2 second google search of the text lead me to that page as well. Is it me or does their engraving look pretty bad for the price they are asking?
