Still on the OEM sways, GFN? I'm kind of surprised by that. As DIY mods go, I think sways would be something you could knock off pretty easy, at a reasonable expense. I had my mechanic do it, but then I get a pass for a whole lot of things now that I'm officially old as dirt. However, I did change the oil & filter on my wife's Honda a couple days ago. And I ripped off her rattling heat shield around the catalytic converter. Not too shabby for an old man.

I keep meaning to switch out the sways, I'm pretty settled on getting the Eibach sways for the front adjustablity and your glowing endorsements. Maybe I've just got some anxiety over getting under the car after the catalytic converter fiasco. It'll get done this year, unless it doesn't.

It's no big deal at all. I change my own oil on both cars; run them up on ramps in the garage. Been using Penzoil Platinum Synthetic, which is only $25 for a 5(ish) quart container at Walmart. I put the old oil in the empty container, and recycle it at AdvancedAuto. And I've been using those K&N oil filters with the 1" nut welded on the bottom, so they come off easy-peasy.

Actually, my superhero moment came when I identified that truly horrible rattle as the upper heat shields on her cat. That took some effort.

But changing oil... meh. This is all you need, man. In fact, this is the very pan I use.

 

I'm going to have to do this myself. Up until now, I was still getting my oil changed at the dealership. They offered 6 or so oil changes for free for buying the car. I just got my oil change alert in the car and I've got the oil cooler parts coming in on Friday. I'll just have to hold out until then. I'll be upgrading to a big boy oil filter now that I've got the mishimoto plate. I'll need to do a little more research to figure out exactly what size and model I need to buy. Thanks for the tip about the Penzoil Plat.

 

I think I've seen that guy before here in Fort Liquordale, hanging out on corners downtown. Oil changes are a pain for me. My car hits ramps before it can roll up them. Gotta jack it up to do anything. Oil chang completed this past weekend and JUST now changed the cabin filter. It was BROWN!

OMG, that's a whole lot of screws and panels. You should see how it's done on my wife's car. Takes all of 30 seconds, and zero tools.

 

No need to completely disassemble the glove compartment box. Just remove the screws and follow the rest of the steps in the DIY on this. Took me 15 minutes and my original filter was horrible. I also drive with the AC full blast and the windows down. Car has 46K so it was time. You'll only need a long Phillips head driver with a ph2 size head. A cordless drill makes it easy..... Make sure you have a magnetic bit though. It could be an issue if you lost a screw.

 

Quick question... are the coupe all weather mats (considering if its a 6mt) front and rear going to fit in my 6mt sedan?
