The G37XS Coupe has the big Akebonos, I guess they just figured the AWD sedan guys probably just wouldn't notice something as insignificant as bad as$ brakes

The 6MT and the Journey/Sport have a VLSD rear end, close ratio steering, big brakes, sport tuned suspension, summer only tires, and staggered rims. The xS is a Sport appearance package on the AWD model, whereas the 6MT is a different model G37 entirely, not just a G with a proper transmission.
haha i was just kidding. Its like comparing an AMG pkg benz with an actual amg...kind of. ok maybe not but you know what i mean~!

I got mine sideways last night on the interstate. I was wasn't too thrilled about it. Almost ended up facing the wrong way once and in the ditch twice. It was really bad. Everyone was driving 15-20mph

One of the reasons I went with FI for the cats... Supposedly the J-shaped extension for the sensors works real well keeping the readings in spec. I'll see soon enough, I suppose. God damn winter.

Not that there's anything wrong with xS. Those Sport Seats are excellent.

Vlsd isn't too big of a loss with the awd, and most of us (at least us x guys on the forums,) address everything else via aftermarket. The only thing I really envy is that steering ratio. Someone was on a mission to see if the rack would actually fit an x, but I lost track of the thread.

I too wondered why the xS didn't get the akebono package... Maybe like one had mentioned - the sedan guys wouldn't need the big brakes with AWD? Who knows... As for the seats, I found them to be a bit to cushioned for me. I'm a slightly bigger guy and felt the regular seats were comfortable - and they really are. Many hours on the road can attest to that.

I only got the X drive because we get weird amounts of snowfall here in norther Virginia, and I go snowboarding a lot during the winter so having the AWD is a great bonus.

As for the FI RHFCs, I too chose this option to ensure no CEL was present. Also because I've heard them before on a G and knew it was the option I wanted to go with.
