I was wondering why it was orange - I'm not even sure why it's that color, I'm pretty sure the fluid was clear when I filled it up! I have to go look under the hood when I go to lunch to see if it's the picture or it really is that orange!

Does anyone know the weight of the stock G37S sedan 18x7.5 & 18x8.5 "duck feet" wheels? In my searching I think I have found the weight of every other Infiniti wheel ever made, but no luck with duck feet.

Excellent news! This means the wider 19's I am planning on in the spring are still going to be a good bit lighter and the tires will be awfully close. Found the tire weights on tire rack. It's always nice when you can go +1 and wider and still lose weight.

Yep. I'm using Michelin PSS, which are only 21 pounds in OEM 18" trim. Being lightweight is one of the selling points of PSS. Reasonable tread-wear and driving awesomeness are a couple of others. Sadly, cost isn't in the "Pro" column.

Point being, my front 19x8.5" Vossens are 2 pounds heavier than my OEM Enkei's, but with PSS tires it's actually a pound less overall. That's not at all the same with the rears, because 10" is kind of wide, but that's a fair trade-off for how they launch.

I really don't know the ounce-to-ounce comparisons, and never weighed anything myself... probably should have. But in my head I see the wheel & tire upgrade as a pretty even wash equal in weight to OEM trim.

 

I ordered replacement pop-chargers today. Went with the R2C Black Hex series.

 

Those Michelins are great fun to drive on. I had a set on my M3. Maybe not the fastest tire on the track, but a riot to have on a RWD car.

 

PSS are actually one of the faster street tires on the track. Love them.

 

They are not bad for max performance street tires, but there is a whole other level of performance street tires above this. Michelin alone has 5 different Pilot Cup tires that are much stickier. I ran faster laps on RE-11's and Star Specs than on my PSS. Then you have the G-Force Rival, Rival S, RE-71R, RS-3(ver2), R1-R, AD08R, NT05, etc. Lots of sticky, near R-compound street tires on the market now. You just need deep pockets when you start to go wider.

 

Not certain if anyone is interested but it sounds like they are getting closer to an ARC oil cap group buy. Not definite but it sounds as if it may happen.

Also there may be a Top Secret oil cap group buy taking place in the near future as well. Nothing firm from TS yet but the guys over there are working on it.

 

Buddy of mine up in Canada is starting to make these tail-lights for the G.

Sure seems like something Chris and Mike would be interested in.

 

Is that Tuner's creation? Very nice. The show mode is silly to me, but I know there's a market out there for it. I really like the other features. I actually have an arduino program I was playing with to create something similar, but more basic. Purchasing a kit similar to this one is much more realistic considering everything on my plate right now and my level of motivation.

Assume you may have some insider info... Any idea the starting price point for these? Will he have lights created to ship and the buyer just sends theirs in for cores?
