Yeah, I didn't hear it at first either but now it's very prevalent. Maybe it needed to break in.............. LOL.

Rochester - Thinking about adding either of these two to my Motordyne. Mine are simply too boring and too big. Name: tip_002_zpsba0ujxep.jpg

The downside with this design is you have no way to gauge how far in you clean the tip. There's no line, just a curve. And while that's an appealing design, you're going to find yourself cleaning way deep into that tip. Unless all you clean is the very edge.

I've been thinking about tips. I know that the resonated inner wall is going to go black over time, and that's fine. But so is the inner edge. So... I think I'm going to leave that sooty, and only clean the rolled edge.

What do you guys with FI tips do?

So far so good with mine. A little dull but nothing too noticeable.

Lol!

I've been cleaning to the inner edge at a minimum. Though not often enough. Too busy compiling parts and pieces. For what, I don't really know.

I just a grounding kit from connorssoiuer, excellent work and should tie in nicely with the rest of my bay. I'll test fit the ARC cap this weekend but I'm pretty confident I'm going to go with the Top Secret cap in the end. Waiting for a package from Japan and my Hawk TPMS adapters but they're overdue at this juncture.

Hear is a vid I took a while back. As you can hear, pretty annoying.

The guys at the car wash never do

I sometimes miss having the free time (read: no family) to detail my car. I use to wash both of my cars every Friday night then go around joy riding, now, I think I've washed my G myself maybe 5 times in 3 years.

I ordered a replacement set of F/R R-Spec brake pads and another bottle of RBF600. Pads are scheduled to arrive on Saturday, so with a little luck, I can do the brakes on Sunday. I'm now "that car" with obnoxious squealing brakes with every touch of the brake pedal

Hydraulic floor jack, adjustable jack stands, and two-piece race-ramps

That's the way you do it. I want those ramps.

Bad news: My boost controller is malfunctioning so I had to remove it to RMA.
Good news: Got retuned off wastegate pressure. Made less WHP but gained about 40 WTQ until the wastegate cut in. This means motor is almost done breaking in!

My tuner took it for a road test:

Edit: oops wrong thread, but I guess I will repost in the build thread.

Normal. I got used to it.

I don't really hear it anymore since having my exhaust in - used to be able to hear that when I only have my HFCs.

Towards the end of the video, sounds like a car alarm was set off.
