Sedan Chat Thread
I'm curious to see what the emblemless would, look like Mike. I still may go that route but I think I'm going to try the mesh. We'll see.
Need to finish the interior first, seats are here. New steering wheel should be here next week. Maybe by the end of March it'll all come together?

I say do it Mike. Emblemless FTW as you know I scored my CF one from my teammate. He says it is a one off from Tony @ carbon fiber element.
Now about that module. I found a place that will hook it up for $40.00 so I'll let you guys know how that goes.

WHAT!!! $40?! I was quoted $250 by a shop, maybe the dude was full of chit. Make sure there are no issues with that, definitely let me know!
Yeah I've seen an emblemless on a red sedan before and I think it looks pretty sick actually! I was thinking of getting it done in CF as well too later on!

$250! That is highway robbery Mike. Geez. This guy is an audio guy that rewired my buddies H1 when he did a complete LED swap so he comes highly recommended. I shouldn't have issues. I showed him the module and wiring diagram and he said "no problem" bring it by next week.
Make sure to get pictures of the install and any tips on how to get it done right would be awesome!
Yeah exactly bro! That's what I said $250 to install a $50 module! I guess I could look around and I'm sure I'd find someone to do it for cheaper, but what holds me back is messing with BCM and actually finding a guy who's done it before so he knows how to install it properly without any issues. Definitely in for updates!

Can you ask the paint shop if they sanded off the chrome finish to get to bare plastic, or did they paint over the chrome? I noticed the tabs were painted too. Let me know if the extra thickness of the tabs has any implication on reinstallation. I doubt it will, but just curious, and paint scraping off when you put the tabs in?

No, they didn't remove the chrome layer, they roughed it up with a fine grit, for the primer. Same as the grille. Pretty sure "extra thickness" here is measured in microns, so I highly doubt there will be a problem snapping them in place.
Hmm. I'm starting a little pile here. I've got these fog rings, that prototype roof wing (also in gloss black), these 5/8" bushings cut to fit for the rear springs, and soon enough a full catback from Fast Intentions. I'll probably be ordering those Vert Cradle Braces sometime soon, too.

Make sure the top nut on the coilover is tightened COMPLETELY. My buddies was a TAD loose and it sound like the whole front end was going fall off. Hit it with a quick impact, and the noise was gone. Probably didn't even turn it one whole thread.
Try that for starters.
