Mid-October... B2AutoDesigns has a small sale until end-of-month on spacers. I've decided to buy a set of 15mm, single-piece, hub-centric spacers for my duckfeet over the winter. Not much of a "mod", but after lowering the car and being flush with Vossens, that silly tuck with the OEM rims is going to drive me nuts... snow tires notwithstanding.

j/k sounds like a good plan. I know that now you've got your G looking so proper it's going to be a huge step backwards going w/ your winter set. Those spacers might just get you through without going berserk

 

I thought about doing this as well.

 

It's a difficult $200 rationalization for me, since I barely drive the car, and even less so during the Winter. Add to that the pure vanity of this decision, pulling the wheels out 15mm... when they're just duckfeet and snow tires, and the rest of the car might likely be covered in salt and ice.

Well, picked up a set of springs for what I was told would work on a 2010 G37 Sedan. Turns out it only works on up to 2009.

At least the camber kit works. Now to get rid of these springs and pick up ones for a 2010.

Also have to find one center cap for a set of MSW 19" wheels I picked up.

 

What springs did you buy? AFAIK 09+ are all compatible

 

I think 07+ should be compatible..

Edit: Looks like he is looking into Eibach Springs which have 2 different SKUs. I guess the 07-08 may be different spring rates/drop height than the 09+, however they should still technically fit.

 

Looks like I'm gonna have to get some black 18" Enkei RPF1's for winter and then get a set of sticky tires and use them for track/autocross days.

 

They are Eibach's. Really preferential to Eibach when it comes to suspension. I wondered if they might still work, but don't want to risk it. In the end, it's not a big deal. I picked up the springs, a camber kit, and a set of 19" chrome and black MSW wheels (can't find them online anywhere to see how good they were new) for a steal.

The camber kit fits, and that alone was worth it.

 

Gotta love living in Houston. Never had to buy a set of snow tires and never will.

 

Good find. I was looking another set of Kics today but I'm not certain I want to spend the money...

 

Like I said earlier, the differences are the drop heights and probably spring rates. The drop specs for the set you have is -1.4f and -1.3r whereas the 09+ are -1.5f and -1.2r.

Spring rates are not readily available but the curb weight of the 07-08 6MT Sport is listed as 3532lbs whereas the 10+ 6MT Sport is listed as 3650lbs, so I would assume that the spring rates are slightly different.

Yes, they will definitely still fit. Whether or not you want to put them in is the question.

It's hard to beat the MOTUL RBF. I have a *slightly* modified Camaro SS as well and am part of a Camaro club. We do track events several times a year where we rent out a whole track, and everyone goes with the RBF 600. It's great stuff. If you drive it really hard, you might want to upgrade to stainless steel brake lines too.

I didn't do any Auto-X event this year, but me and two others have agreed to participate next Spring. While this certainly isn't the right car to be taking to Auto-Cross, and I'm still an auto-x newbie, it's the car I have and it's fun.

I expect the tires, springs, sways, brace, struts, brakes and steering will serve me well enough.
