Look at you, setting up your loose rims and tires for a photo-shoot with the car as a backdrop. I'm laughing, but it's all good, man.

Very nice.

Haha, hey...The distributor/friend who gave me a steal on the wheels asked me to send him a shot with them. I'm okay with it.

Yes those wheels are very nice looking.

Personally I've been conditioned to think that design is a "European" style but I'm sure they'll look great

I agree, I see this style on a lot of M3's and Audi S5, RS5's. I've always loved the wheel style and wanted to go a different route than the typical Vossen setup i see around here (nothing against them, just trying to be a little different).

I think they will look great on a 37. Everything is put together, just need to adjust my ride heights, put everything on and go get it aligned.

Hey John, do you know if the OEM tpms will fit on the short valve stems that Vossen supplies? I have an extra set of tpms with valve stems but I'd prefer the shorties.

The valve stems that Vossen supplies retailers for clearance of their 19" rims over the Nissan BBK are from a company called Hawks Head. The OEM valve stem is secured to the looped end of the HawksHead valve stem adapter, and turned 90* inside the wheel. Go back and look at the pic I posted a couple days ago, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

The intent of the adapter is so that you can re-use your OEM TPMS. So to answer the question: yes.

However, now that I finally understand the configuration and the parts, I have to ask, why couldn't I simply purchase a TPMS that has a shorter valve stem? Or purchase a TPMS Stem that is shorter than the OEM stem piece, and use that attached to the sensor section of the TPMS? That's assuming what I'm describing exists. It probably does... but I never researched it. I just accepted the situation as presented to me by Vossen, and even then I never really understood it until now.

After getting everything back together yesterday, I went for a nice long ride to nowhere in particular. OMG that sedan handles with heroic grip. If anything, it could use a little more power to match its handling.

So the shorty stem has a collar that the TPMS fits into correct?

Yes. The picture should be self-explanatory.

All the shorty is doing is holding the OEM sensor inside the wheel, and the OEM stem is unused (except as a point of contact to be held by the shorty).

Do you see this now? It's really simple, but I admit to being confused for a while, too.

Okay. It makes perfect sense now. Thanks!
