The accident trend continues...

Would have liked to post pics of my ride after a few mods but after this I'm kinda like meh. Jerk slammed into me going pretty fast (even cracked my windshield). I was in denial of how bad the damage was until until I went to visit it at the dealer collision center. Its looks like the front subframe is bent pretty bad. The repair estimate is around $15k and counting. Its a 13s 6mt btw

Damn, so sorry to see that
More important, how are you feeling? Hope all is well w/ your back, neck, etc. You can always repair or replace the metal, sucks in the meantime but if you're OK, you'll have a car or a repair that'll get you back to a happy place
Best of luck if they repair rather than total it. Keep us posted, I went through this back in April although only a big side collision so repairs were only $8k.

Oh damn, I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. Make sure you're ok before anything.

First thing I did was hire a reputable lawyer to deal with everything. If the accident was 100% their fault and they have insurance, then your in a good position. I'm in Washington state and I'm not sure if everything I say would be the same in your area.

I had another car to drive so I didn't need a rental car, however you can still collect the time loss with your car, It's call "Loss of use"

Make sure to figure out if you can pursue a "Diminished Value Claim" that will pay you out the difference, a car with an accident isn't worth the same value as a car that hasn't been in one.

However in my case my car wasn't totaled, I just got mine back yesterday.

Best of luck and I hope your ok from the accident.

There should be a "wrecked G" sub forum where we can share our pain and unleash hell on the douchebags that cause these major life-disruptions. And if the wreck was the G drivers' fault we won't hold it against you, could be a pretty large fellowship w/ all the posts in the last 6 months

Thanks man I'm good just been a bit sore. I've been attending physical therapy for about two weeks now since the wreck.

I saw the damage to your car and how well the repairs came out, gives me hope.

Im pretty sure if it wasn't a 13 it would have been totaled. They are in the process of fixing it now but every time I check on the car the shop seems to find more hidden damage. Could they total a car after a repair authorization has been signed if the estimate keeps increasing?

Thanks man for the great advice. I hired an attorney but fault in this case was tricky given the circumstances of the accident (we're still fighting). I'll definitely do a diminished value claim this time around but it may be difficult seeing I live in Texas. Ill read up more on it.

Glad you got your G back good as new. Looks great.

Sadly this isn't the first G wreck I've had. My 06 G35 6mt coupe was totaled back in February just six months after being repaired from another accident. Hate to sound pessimistic but it just feels like OB 6mt Gs and me don't mix well. I had 7 years of clean driving history before owning one. Now barely 18 months and 3 wrecks later I'm here.
