Door handle button does not unlock car

Looking for some help.

My intelligent key worked fine yesterday but today I can't unlock door handle push button.

I am able to lock car with the door handle button but not unlock car. When pushing button, it makes to noise to unlock but does not. I can also open trunk and gas tank. Just can't unlock.

Has anyone else experience this problem?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is your battery dead? Happened to me last week seems like once the battery is too low it just stops working...

It works just fine to starts my car and lock it.

Maybe I'll remove it and put it back in.

I was just wondering if anyone ever had this problem and maybe had to get key re-programmed?

Interesting (and a bit troubling), I wonder if resetting your ECU (disconnecting the battery) would help?
BTW, does your passenger side work OK or is it both doors?

Neither the driver's side or passenger side door handle unlock the car.

Do you think disconnecting the battery may work?

Resetting the ECU can clear up some problems depending what they are, similar to rebooting a computer. Keep in mind if you do disconnect the battery you'll have to reset your seat settings and your window auto up/down feature. It's easy to do (in the owners manual but don't remember the specific procedure).

I recently started having this problem as well. On mine it is mostly the passenger side door that gives me trouble. I tried an experiment where I held my arm out with the key fob in it and kept bringing it closer and closer to the door trying the door lock button on the handle each time until I got it to unlock. The key fob had to be less than 12 " away before it worked. There are other threads on here about this topic (try searching on door handle button). I don't get any message on the dash telling me my fob battery is low, so not sure what is going on but obviously we are not alone with this problem.

Edit: Just read your post again. If you are hearing a noise but it still can't unlock, you're problem is different than mine. Sounds like yours is more likely to be a bad solenoid in the door mechanism or possibly the car battery itself is getting weak.

Did resetting the ECU work? I just started having an intermittent issue. Fob not locking and driver door button not locking. Passenger side works fine though.

Just curious before I start calling the dealer.

That's no problem, I've done that before. I was just curious as to whether resetting the ECU rectified the door lock issues. Mine started a week or so ago when we had a cold snap and just aren't making sense to me.

I had a similar problem with my front passenger door. It wouldn't unlock with the key fob or the door unlock buttons on the outside or inside. My wife had to sit in the back seat for a couple of weeks until I got it looked at by the dealer. I felt like a chauffeur. The dealership mechanics were wondering how they were going to fix it, as they couldn't get the inside door panel off without opening the door. Somehow they figured it out and fixed it, but I'm still not sure what the exact problem was. Wasn't the battery though, as all the other doors were fine.

I haven't experienced this exact issue (yet) but my drivers door makes almost a squeaking noise when it locks or unlocks. I'm wondering if a solenoid is going out... Has anyone else experience a sqeak or chip coming from the internals of the door when locking/unlocking?
