Gotta admit, I'm back on the Dip
Definitely looks better in those pics. Did you consider going with a darker/ black chrome instead? I know you are eliminating all of the silver chrome, but I think the shine/polished look will contrast well with the flatter texture of the cf vinyl wrap. Just an idea.
I've got some gloss black vinyl and I'm open to ideas. I'm liking the emblem result but in time that may change so that would be an option. Thanks for the kind words.
Newt, this idea about painting the coolant reservoir never really left me. I keep coming back to it when eyeballing my engine bay, and I had a thought just now that felt more right than others. It's the gray on the OEM washer fluid cap. I know that almost seems silly, matching the overflow bin to a $5 cap, but still... I think the colors are right given the rest of the bay.
Thoughts?
On topic to your project, how's the plastidip holding up on all the pieces you did here?

As far as my parts, I had to remove the dip on the radiator cover, the heat from the motor combined w/ the front rubber hood seal caused it to stick to the seal. I actually like it better now, like you said, less can be more sometimes.
Nothing wrong w/ agonizing over a seemingly minor part, your bay is all about the details and that's what sets yours' apart. Go for it!

You get points for being brave and honest, scout.
Now I've got to start looking for that oil and radiator cap
