Whereto after G37?
I'm with Rochester. A GT-R is a wee bit more than a step up from a G.
Too bad the new GT-R isn't still $70k. This Chart Shows How The Nissan GT-R's Price Has Skyrocketed 35% In Five Years

What's wrong with an m3?
In terms of driving dynamics, I'd rate it way up there, and would seriously consider it over a gt-r for that reason. And I really like the gt-r...
Not interested in an s4 though. Boring drive.

OK, where the heck is the OP and his magical GT-R? I'm starting to feel like everyone in this thread has been punked.
Personal finances aside, all bets would be off on what I would be driving... if only I had a 3 car garage. As it stands, my hobby has to be my daily driver, and all the considerations that come into play with that constraint. Like winter, and driving the kids around, and getting up this huge hump of a driveway.
Reality is an inconvenient bucket of cold water.

I've been facing that same question, Rochester. The reality for me is, I'm tired of making compromises between comfort and performance, and to have both in the same car is, well, expensive.
Which is why I will probably buy out my current G37 lease since I got such a good deal on it, and get a BRZ next spring as my track junkie and weekend fun car. Comes out to about the same or less than a nice late-model M3, which is more expensive to maintain and definitely more expensive to track... and the only car I would consider next if I wanted an all-arounder.

What the use with all that power? I am saying cause with the G37, I barely touch the go pedal before having to break again, and I am not living in a crowd city at all. Good luck stretching a bit muscle in that Viper on any public road.
