Whereto after G37?
Whereto after G37?
After having an early model G37S for some time and wondering what I could possibly move up to in the Nissan / Infiniti line ... It just had to happen. We now own a GT-R (2013) and wow, what a difference and yes, a perfect next set for any G37S owner - with some track experience.... Yes, we tracked the G37S for a year .... In So Cal at Auto Club Speedway (Roval), Willow Springs, Buttonwillow and even at High Plains Raceway in Colorado ... But the GTR? Since we bought it, we are taking it easy and it's now our daily drive ...
Who else thinks the GTR represents the next step up?

Just being realistic. The GTR is designed from the ground-up as a high-tech, world-class sports car, whereas the (non-AWD) Sport Package on the G37 simply adds some needed (and appreciated) sport performance upgrades to a basic four-door that has a relatively strong engine for its class of car.
Another way to look at it... the family and I just wrapped up all 100+ episodes of Top Gear on Netflix, and from that point of view, the G just doesn't rate. Godzilla rates.

WOW, Congrats on the GT-R. I wish I could move up to a car like that. Owning Nissan cars for 24 years for me and now my first Infiniti G37X I think I am at the end of the moving up...Can't go up any higher and don't want to go any lower....Enjoy your GT-R as I am sure you will.
That's a huge upgrade, love those cars. Next trip to Vegas I'm going to take a few hot laps at the track there in a GT-R, they've got a bunch of hot cars to choose from but I'm going straight to the GT-R
. This is a car I would love to own and in a couple years I may be able to get a 3-4 year old used Godzilla that may fall in my price point.
C'mon Pics ASAP!!!

I'm with Rochester. A GT-R is a wee bit more than a step up from a G.
