Actually, manual transmission car sales in the US increased significantly in 2012.

Dinan... and how much more will that add to the price?

We have GTM and a bunch of other options as well.

Ok. The SUV Bimmers don't look like the sedans... Sedans all look alike.

Identical except of course, the 5 series is larger.

Yeah, I have to agree the new 3 and 5 Series are hard to tell apart. I am VERY detailed oriented when it comes to car styling, I wanted to be a car designer, but even I find myself mistaking them for each other in person. Especially from the rear. I can spot a 7 Series without mistaking it for a 5 Series, but you can tell they are related, which I think is the way it should be. Why should there not be a family resemblance in a car lineup?

Dinan is about 2500 for stage 3. It is installed by your dealership. Its a tune, so it takes about 1 hr to install. You will increase HP by 100 and 130 Tq.

GTM is not covered under warranty is it? How much is the GTM?

We didn’t believe we’d be telling you this, but it seems that the manual transmissions sales in the US are on the rise, with the main element to be credited for this being the increased interest for affordable sports cars like the Scion FR-S and the Hyundai Genesis Coupe.

Last year, manuals only accounted for for 3 percent of car sales, while the figures for the part of the current year that has passed so far show this has increased to 7 percent. If the situation remains the same, 2012 will be the year with the most manual gearbox sales since 2006.

However, carmakers are offering less manual gearbox options than before, as 64 percent of 2012 models are offered with autos only, while this value stood at 45 percent one decade ago. Many consumers prefer automatics not only for the comfort bonus, but also because the new-generation torque convertor system no longer fall behind manuals in terms of fuel efficiency.

We’ll have to wait and see for how long the manuals are going to keep fighting, but the end, unfortunately, is inevitable for them. Of course, there will always be performance drivers that will choose manuals, but this is a limited category. In fact, the US is well-known for the paradoxical way in which it has convinced carmaker to offer manuals on go-fast models that don't come with such an option in Europe, where manuals are far more popular.

The best example of this is the new F10 BMW M5, which only comes with an optional manual in the US. However, like we said above the end can't be too far for the stick shift, as BMW has announced that this is the last generation of the M5 for which it has gone through the effort of designing a manual that can cope with the massive level of power and torque.

Warranty?

If your vehicle is currently covered by the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty, Dinan products are warranted for the remaining term of the vehicle manufacturer’s new car limited warranty. The manufacturer’s new car warranty is limited to 4 years or 50,000 miles (80,000 kilometers in Canada), commencing on the date of first retail sale or the date the vehicle is first placed in-service as a demonstrator or company vehicle, whichever is earlier. Dinan’s warranties are transferable when ownership of the vehicle into which the Dinan products were originally installed is sold.

To obtain service under this warranty, the vehicle must be brought, upon discovery of a malfunction or defect in materials and/or workmanship, to the workshop of any Authorized Dinan Dealer, during normal business hours. Proof of purchase in the form of a lawful invoice is required. The Authorized Dinan Dealer will, without charge for parts or labor, repair or replace the defective Dinan component(s), as well as any original vehicle manufacturer’s component(s) that may have been directly affected by a Dinan component, using new or authorized remanufactured parts. The decision to repair or replace said parts is at the sole discretion of Dinan and/or the original vehicle manufacturer. Parts for which replacements are supplied under this limited warranty become the property of Dinan and/or the original vehicle manufacturer. In all cases, a reasonable period of time must be allowed for warranty repairs to be completed after the vehicle is delivered to the Authorized Dinan Dealer.
While that is indeed better than nothing, it's up to the dealer's discretion as to what's wrong with your car.

Good luck with that. *Stillen cough cough Stillen*

Stage 3, you'll need an oil/intercooler as well.

Oil cooler - $1,400 - $2,500

Intercooler - Another $1,600

Dealer installation cost of said parts/tune... *gasp*

GTM TT tuner kit is $7500, and you'll get way more than 373HP, but with less torque.

$4-600 and you can get a Juicebox. And?

You still think the 3 series and 5 series look nothing alike?

Lol. Hey hey, now lets not take it too far there.
Nothing wrong with brand recognition/familiarity. I'm just taking a jab at all those naysayers when the Q50 was first revealed.

"OMG HIDEOUS! Looks like a Sonata/Optima/M blah blah blah. I'm going to go buy a XYZ car now. Infiniti SUCKS!!!!". And then hearing stuff similar to "At least BMW has original styling!". Yes. Original in the sense that the 3 and 5 look practically identical, and have for quite some time now. How anyone can deny that is beyond comprehension. Again, it's not necessarily a bad thing if you like the BMW look.

Last part. *chuckle*

C'mon bro are you serious.

Dealer cost and installation?? It's basically a flash tune... Plug and play? It takes like 20 mins.

Go with dinan stage 2 then, you don't need intercooler only stock one or stage 1. Dinan has 25 percent off sales 2 times a year and that's when people buy.
Stage 3 is for way aggressive. BMW offers this to most people when they buy their cars, I was offered one at BMW Dallas.

Jb4 is not a flash tune, it's different than Cobb and Dinan.

7500 for GTM ! Lolz! Whaaaa installed and all huh? That easy?

Yes I already said I can tell the difference about the sedans.

Your way off on a lot of things.

Yeah, this whole EVERY new car that comes out looks like EVERY other car out there is getting old. There is going to be SOME resemblance to some other car. Doesn't mean they copied someone. But it trips me out when people say it looks like a fancy Altima... Really!?! I think I read that on a BMW forum. The cars look NOTHING alike, but just because people know the relation between Nissan and Infiniti they just throw it out there to have something negative to say, "It looks good but it looks like...".

@efuseakay Random, I just ran and stumbled across some of your Youtube videos. lol
