2014 Sedan
I'm happy that Infiniti injected some soul and character into the Q50 exterior styling even though the grill looks a little weird, although I have a feeling it will grow on me. The new 3 series and IS are way too conservative looking.
If they go the DI route, i hope they employ the same technique Toyota does, to prevent all those excess carbon build-up.
That's a good point. Lexus uses conventional port and direct injection on the 2GR-FSE. I've never heard of carbon build-up on an IS 350.
Seems to me that they abandoned art for edge, if you know what I mean. The elegant design line has been discarded for bulges, creases and lines that draw the eye in 12 different directions at once. It's a mess.
Funny from the leak photos the front reminds me more of an IS than G.
I am a big fan of the new look. I would like to wait for the full reveal of the Sport model as I HATE WOOD IN A CAR.
As everyone else, I am only interested in the engine.
I really hope that the rumors of a new VQ30VDT engine is true.
This would only mean 3.0L, V for VVEL, D for Direct Injection, and T for Turbo.
Dont charge me 50 $tacks for this thing either

The current G-Sedan tops out at $47K MSRP for the fully loaded Sport AWD. So it's not unreasonable to expect $50K MSRP in the new model.
And like most $50K cars, that hardly means it's worth it.
Look what they've done with pricing the IPL. It's kind of a joke, really.

What's the big deal with heated steering wheel? I have never used the heated seats, and I am in the north east. It's not like I would drive the car naked in the winter. Oh.. I don't drink and drive, these things are utterly useless. I will take real leather interior any day.
It would be nose-heavy with that big engine placed upfront. By the look of it, it would be making more sense to have a smaller lighter engine, or it would have worse weight distribution than the current G. But we will see.
I think they did a nice job with the redesign (except for the front end) especially the interior. I agree the MSRP for a loaded sport will likely be at least $50k, maybe a little more if there is a 3.0 TT option, and there wont be much discounting.
I know the new platform isn't FM but some kind of modified MB C Class chassis, but I'm sure they would want to keep weight dis. similar.
