Lol, too bad that's not going to be the case. The Q50 hybrid weighs just about the same as the m37 hybrid, m35 hhybrid and both of those are still slower in the 1/4 mile than the n55 335, let alone a n55 335is which is even faster. Not sure where people come up with this stuff. I'm sure the new 435 will be even better, the q50 should be compared with the 328 not the 335/435.

I don't know about you guys, I have seen only pics and video of the new Q50. It looks exciting, but I'm worried about the use of the same JATCO 7AT. Having said that, I drove a 2012 G37X Loaner today, and found it to be more responsive than my 2010, even with the TSB reflash done last July. If you check my many, many, posts on the Tranny threads, this 7AT gives me some real pause for opting for the new Q at my lease end in August.

I have seen a bunch of new 2013 Altimas. from certain angles (not the front grille), I think you will find that it resembles the new Q. Of course, different drivetrain and engine from the Altima, but it is very similar IMO. The new Q is probably based on the Altima. If the new Q has the interiro roominess of the Altima, that would be a plus. The new Q will still be RWD based and hence the existence of the rear Hump.

One dealer in Denville, NJ already gave me a ballpark pricing on the Q: Packaged with the premium and Deluxe touring packages MSRP is just under $45K. There will be no special pricing I would presume for the kickoff. In fact, Infiniti ceased the Pull Ahead program on April 1, where they would Eat 3 months of current lease payments. I'm on the Fence of going with a new 2013 M37x (pretty good deals now - and may get better in a few months - or wait for the new Q50.

I understand the concern about the transmission...I too had a leased 2010 G37x I recently "pulled ahead" to return and then lease a 2013 G37x. I can tell you the 2013 is much smoother and does not stumble like the 2010. Although the transmission is still less than perfect, it is much improved over the 2010. At this point, I would consider the transmission "acceptable" for the 2014 provided the rest of the car meets or exceeds your expectations.

I suspect both versions of the Q50 will be somewhat faster than the 328, but a few tenths slower than the 335. If you've been around the 328, that engine sounds really crappy at idle....nothing like a $50,000 + car.
