PlastiDip has its' place. It's an easy way to see if a certain look is something you'll like long-term. The damn stuff is hard to clean though and is prone to peeling, also prone to water spots. Never really looks like it belongs on upscale vehicles. I'd say go ahead and use it if you want to see how you like a black grill, or black accents, then dive in w/ paint or vinyl FTW.

Lol. There are some guys who REALLY hate the plasti dip thing. I myself dont really care since its not on my car.

I do have a Teammate though who has some of this on his ride. His attention to detail is scrutinizing, and he keeps his car flawless..BUT he has his rear emblems all plasti dipped. The dip is peeling off on a handful of letters....and the texture is so rough that i can practically see water spots in the craters. LOL. So why he keeps this on his car is beyond my comprehension....but he does. If youre reading this...you know who you are!!

I agree with the texture comments, it is a bit rough, but I wasn't nearly patient enough with letting the coats fully dry. The can says 30 min between coats, and 4 hours at the end. I'm not nearly that patient.

I also couldn't get a solid solution for the S, so that the edges were black and the red is showing, but I couldn't get it perfect.

Fresh Mobile

mask off backup camera and dip the chrome piece. Just be careful when taking off mask so you don't mess up your work. recommend blue masking tape.
