Some of the Lexus ES's with that light wood on light grey leather looks just awful!
I am the exact opposite. I think wood looks great with a tan interior. I prefer aluminum on black interiors.

Our boys at 180custom did the swap when he was doing other work on my car. The look is completely different. I hated that aluminum crap. It completely changes the look of the car. It is a 40,000 dollar car and all of them should have wood unless you are getting the manual perhaps. Just my opinion
+1 I think the metal trim is too cold looking.

I like the aluminium trim over the wood. IMO the wood gave the car an out of date look. The aluminum looks more sporty. I guess thats why Infiniti made it an option rather than standard. Not everyone likes wood trim.

I have a 2009 G37 with the OEM rosewood trim.
It is absolutely magnificent.
The combination of the understated elegance of the wood trim with the awesome acceleration that comes from 327 horses is like a gorgeous librarian with the soul of a poledancer.
