See the pictures in my garage. Give the vehicle a very classy look.

i'm sure that you could do an overlay and it would look fine for the sedan. people put overlays on their aluminum trim all the time.

if you decide to do it, please post pics.

good luck!!!

This car looks cheap without wood. This is a must have.

I wouldn't say it looks cheap, but the latest wood trim (since 09) is so much better than the initial wood trim option on the 07-09 Gs, that wood looked like a sticker IMO.

Agreed. Those ugly dull wood trims looked even cheaper than the aluminum. One major reason that I didn't buy the '08 when I was offered a great deal a few years back.

Do not do the overlay. You will find that the door potions do not cover the entire metal surface as there is a radius at the bottom that cannot be overlayed. Arrange a swap of OEM trim with a dealer that has a used vehicle.

The real OEM wood option is nice. Just don't do those overlays. Looks like laminated plastic.

Never liked the current wood trim.
Guess I'm one of the few fans of the original matted African Rosewood trim on the previous Gen Sedans. HATE the glossy looks of the new wood, not to my tastes (more sporty vs. lux), but it's all about preference and mods and how they flow together

+1, but the OEM wood is really nice, I wish the 6MT had it.
