Hello, I am looking to purchase an AWD Infiniti Coupe G37x or G37xs

Is it worth the money for the xs over the x? also the xs is more difficult to find use....

Here are the main differences between the years listed above

Pros
1) AWD x version introduced
2) 5sp auto to 7spd

Cons
1)Fake wood interior
2) No xs model

2010:
Pros
1) no fake wood interior
2) xm radio, Bluetooth, rear view camera

Cons
1) No xs model

2011:
Pros
1) xs model introduced

Cons:
N/A

2012: No major changes

Do you want the big brake kit, nicer wheels, nicer bumper? If you are going to get an X no matter what I would suggest getting one with the 7 speed as it is vastly a better driving experience.

I just found a '11 xS this weekend and I am so glad I got it. It just feels like a more comfortable drive for me. Also, resale value in the future will be more than a normal X if I ever decided to sell(not even close yet)

xS; end of discussion. LOL. No I'm not trying to be a jacka**. I bought an x because of winter and I wish I had held out for an xS. It's fun adding all the things I want from the xS(bumper, brakes, paddles, pedals) but I still wish I had waited to find an xS I liked

Kinda how I was. It took me 4 months to find a G37s in Colorado that was (A) in my price range and (B) in good shape with decent miles. All the ones I was interested in were out of state. I found 1 in 4 months that was a manual to test drive and it had way to many miles. So the one I bought came along and I snatched it right up after a week of negotiating.

Didnt really have a color preference but I ended up with a vibrant red and cannot be more happy.

I was looking for an xS for about 9 months(check my post history) and I found a few but they were $4-5k out of my range so I gave up about 4 months in and started looking for a normal X. On the week which I absolutely needed to buy the car, one popped up 20 miles from me in the exact color(white with black interior) that I wanted. I drove there that day and I picked it up.... I got lucky I guess

Man, should have lived in Colorado lol. I see xS cars all the time and saw like 10 times more than a normal S during my such. Rarely see a normal S on the road here.

Also, FYI. Unless the wood trim is an aftermarket kit, it is REAL wood. My XS has the Rosewood trim and I prefer it to the Alum. Trim.

If you really want to buy an Infinit"I" and be an asset to the community here, please learn how to spell the name of the car. It's just hard to take somebody seriously as an enthusiast of the brand when, in their posts, they spell it the same as an audio equipment company.

They're looking for some advice on models of the car, hardly trying to come across as a brand enthusiast. A lot of phones and devices will auto correct Infiniti to Infinity as well.

I think it might be cheaper and easier to find an Infiniti G37 x and then just get the sport oem rims and tires for the summer. I would then just pop snow tires on the G37 x rims. any thoughts?

Then it's an aftermarket wood kit as OEM is real wood.

I started my search for a G37 with the same quandry...I figured pretty quickly that I liked the looks of the sports package and definitely wanted to find one. In the used market, the sports packaging was only driving ~ $1k or less of a price difference.

It took me about a month to find the one I wound up purchasing two days ago. I live in the Chicagoland area, so there may have been more to chose from that your area. I bought a 2013 G37xS in graphite shadow with graphite interior with 18k miles.

Unless your desparate, wait for the sports package in the year/milage/color that you're looking for. You will not regret it!
