I've been considering going to an air suspension on my G for year so I can have a couple of different programmable ride heights, but I'm just concerned with the everyday livability of an air suspension.
If you think about it, air suspension doesn't have any compromises, static cars do. I can drive at a slammed height and raise up to clear obstacles. Alternatively, I can drive at a reasonable height and then slam it when I park. With static you're either not low enough to maintain daily drivability or so low where you worry about constantly scrapping. In fact the one and ONLY thing about air that gets to me is the sound of the compressors running to refill the tank when I raise the car but it's only for 20-30 seconds.
I'd say if you have the finances to run an air setup, because it's not cheap, then go for it! Air is amazing and you won't be disappointed. No livability issues whatsoever.
I absolutely LOVE the air suspension! Right now I have the dampers set quite hard but at a softer setting, the ride is more comfortable than stock "S" suspension ride quality. And the car handles as well as any coil-over car I've been in.

I have no issue with the compressor occasionally running. I have dual air compressors on my Jeep (for air lockers, etc...), so we are used to hearing them kick on and off.
Do you have any pics of the installation (i.e. where you compressors are mounted in the trunk... guessing in the spare tire well)?
Only problem is it wears out very quickly from the oils and crap on your skin. Not great for a steering wheel....
I like suede / alcantara headliners and trim accents though.

The car handles so great on air, I almost skipped sways!

The dual compressors, air tank and management are all mounted on that bracket. The compressors are isolated on the bracket and the bracket is isolated to the parcel shelf. So vibration is minimized.
The best part of this type of install is that I get to keep my spare tire and elegantly mount the air ride equipment!
