It was a bit of a challenge holding the damn camera while I was screaming to redline. I wonder if all that clacking in the background was the lens cover bouncing against the steering wheel??

It seems much more quiet in the cabin than I was guessing, but enough extra rumble to be appealing. Overall, I'd say you're happy with this mod, yes?

Get a window mount, or better yet, put someone in the backseat with the camera.

That actually sounds pretty good in the cabin, not nearly as loud as I would have expected. Hmm this may be an option after all. Have you driven it up any uphill grades? That was where my last exhaust was really annoying sounding with a constant BWAAHHHHH that was amplified in the cabin, only relief was cracking the windows and then it sounded good.

Thanks for getting the interior shot!

Yep, very happy w/ the mod, probably the best $400 I've spent on a car
I doubt I'll be doing any more moving interior camera shots, lucky to still be alive, lol.

Haven't had it under a bogged-down load so I can't comment on that, but the upshift when the rpm drops to around 1500 has a bit of a low rumble, but not all obtrusive IMO.

I live in Europe and my car is Sedan. It is awful that rules don't allow to drive fast but what is really bad is that the car has it's company speed limit. That is why I even cannot feel my car when driving.

It feels more responsive, doubt there's more than a 10hp gain, but it passes the butt-dyno test

blnewt, the added sound and vibration is likely the bulk of your butt-dyno impressions. In other words, now you've got more feedback with more of your senses.

Is the G any faster because of a pair of new mufflers? That's very unlikely. But perception > dyno stats any day. That's why people love the Miata.

Well I can chirp the tires a little in 2nd, couldn't do that before
But I'm sure it's a minimal gain, but you're right, the "dolby 7.1 surround sound" is much better than what I was listening too about 10 days ago

For the price/build quality and how it sounds, it's such an awesome deal. But I'm new to this kind of mod, I'm not sure what to expect for replacing the exhaust besides sounding better. Do you feel more solid/responsive when you gas it and accelerate with the TopSpeed? Did you get reduce in MPG after the mod? Any complaints after the mod so far? Is there any alternative in the same price range?

Thanks guys!

I'm loving the exhaust, the looks, the sound and the sightly improved response.
Taking the G on a 1800mile road trip so I'll know for sure if there's any mpg gains next week. Around town I doubt there's any improvement since I like hearing the VQ sing much more now
No alternative in the $400 price range for a new system, you may find a used axleback in that range, even a used catback will be at least $600. This is a Y-back so it's right between an axleback and catback.

This one is 97 db
Tanabe is 95 db
Stock is 91? or 93?

I wish I can hear it in person to see if it's too loud for me.

It's not really loud at all cruising at 80mph hwy speeds. Sure when you get on the gas it'll open up but not a loud wail or anything, just a nice steady note.
My wife was hesitant on an exhaust purchase and she's very happy w/ the sound, if that's any help.

Just put 600 miles on it today and got about .5 to 1 mpg better on the hwy, not much, but any bit helps w/ these crappy gas prices

Ooops. I was wrong, Tanabe is 93 db. That means Top Speed Pro-1 is quite a bit louder than Tanabe. I'm sure I'd enjoy the sound, but I'm not sure if I can live with it lol.
