The ebay listing says under 97db, not sure what it actually is, but those sound clips on their site is for the coupe. Maybe if you give them a call they'd be able to give you the true sound output. I've been in a couple sedans w/ aftermarket exhausts and the TopSpeed seems to be similar in db. it's definitely not obtrusive IMO, but hard to convey through words
I had my pre-install sound clip recorded but after I edited it, then deleted the original file off my webcam it deleted the edited file too

Comparing the Tanabe to the Top Speed Pro-1 for the sedan I haven't noticed that much difference. Infact I think my Top Speed is almost too quiet.

In that case I might consider Top Speed Pro-1. Just can't justify spending so much on a Tanabe muffler. It's $750 shipped to Canada, but UPS will likely gouge me for another $100 for handling, then taxed for another $750. If I'm spending that much I want something more than a muffler.

This thread has peaked my interest. I'm looking for a bit more noise out of the car to better feel the throttle.

$400 is about what I paid for my two brother's bike exhaust (which is LOUD).

It's still a bit unclear about what is included. Do the pictures in the listing show everything that is included - that is, this doesn't really connect to the cats, but rather to the stock mid pipe?

Sniper's correct, it comes with a new rear Y pipe w/ resonators and the new mufflers/tips. you'll still be using the OEM Y pipe connected to the cats. The sound is a nice deeper tone that really sounds good when you get on the gas, no rasp or drone and you'll definitely enjoy cruising your G more often

Here's a youtube of a similar bike with similar exhaust. I think this guy gutted the cat too, as it sounds a bit more metallic than with the cat in.

2007 FZ1 Two Brothers Racing Carbon Fiber - YouTube

Although the topspeed exhaust is not a true dual exhaust, for the money, you can't go wrong. Any more feedback as far as mpg or performance increase/decreases?

So I thought I'd give everyone a heads up, basically I've had the Top Speed for a while now, excellent exhaust, EXCEPT;

2 weeks ago I got some GTM resonated test pipes, and let me tell you, this exhaust rasps like crazy, and the drone is just absurd.

The Top Speed exhaust seems to only sound good with the stock cats and stock y-pipe, if you're thinking of high flow cats, or an upgraded y-pipe, expect the sound quality degrade quite a bit.

If anyone is thinking of this exhaust, and planning test pipes or high flow cats in the future, this is something to note.

That's good to know, I'm very happy w/ the exhaust as is, and now that you've done some further exhaust enhancements and didn't like the result, I think I'll just stay happy
