Service Bulletin ITB10-075 Detail Compatibility Info

Just took my 2011 G37 RWD to service and asked the dealer to perform the ITB10-075 reprogram since I've been experiencing not-so-smooth transmission in the first and second gear. However, the dealer informed me that my car's VIN is not listed in the ITB and gave me the first page of the official ITB document.

You can see the scan of the document attached. Just thought I would share this in case anyone wondering if their car can be reprogrammed with ITB10-075.

Did anyone actually get their car reprogrammed even if your VIN doesn't fall within the range specified by the ITB?

If the vin doesnt fall under the range specified by the ITB, it usually means that your car already has the newest program.

Looks like mine doesn't fall under it, and I still get that awful 2-1 jerk.

Mine falls within. Has anyone confirmed that this actually corrects the problem? The only one mentioned that i have noticed is the 2nd to 1st hard shift particularly in "DS" mode.

I actually experience 1-2 shift vibration and hesitation to take off from stop from time to time. There is also one instance that I did a fast break on freeway @ 60 mph, the down shift didn't response right and the RPM went crazy for a second. Looks like the original ITB didn't specify the range of VINs, and this is the updated version doc.

I noticed on the ITM that after the AP# they all have BM# Mine has a AM# what the heck does that mean. I don't need the re-program? Or my car was made in Amsterdam...!

So i found the other thread about the reprogram and it appears there were some mixed results. Is this new ITB just a revision of the last one in terms of which cars are affected or did they actually change the code that is uploaded? Has anyone had this done very recently?

Thanks, clx. This is kind of a shock. I have the 2nd, 4th, and 5th symptoms, but my VIN is above JN*BM403082, so apparently not covered.

First service is scheduled for May, I'm going to ask to have the TSB evaluated against the symptoms anyway. I'm very attuned to the "vibration/shutter" because my '08 Legacy GT had it, was scheduled to have the TC replaced under a TSB when I traded it. I couldn't believe it when the G37x did it, too. Had to drive it a couple thousand miles before I was sure it wasn't my imagination carrying it over from the old car.

The hard downshift is just breathtaking sometimes. First time it happened I thought the thing had just seized up.

Wow this is quite disappointing :/ My VIN isn't covered but I'm definitely experiencing some rough downshifts (VERY ROUGH 4->3). Regret getting an auto haha

I've got the slight vibration on starting off and I was figuring I needed some strut brace/front subframe chassis braces. I'll have to check with them and see if my vert is on the list.
