Whew! That was a lot of work and points out the difficulty in swapping parts on any Infiniti display. As the OP found out, they're very well put together and difficult to pull apart. Furthermore, the fact that the parts were never designed to be diassembled means there's always the chance you could completely destroy your display to make a small change.

Leaving the display intact assures it's both dust proof and free from defects, so I won't be trying this anytime soon.
