I've noticed a weird thing, and I'm trying to figure it out. Sometimes I'll turn off my car and open the door, and the car will keep beeping because the door is open. But then other times (I'm not sure what I'm doing different) but I will open the driver door, and there will be no sound at all (what I prefer). What am I doing differently in the two scenerios? Is it based on time?

 

This happens to me too when I have the car off and am listening to the radio. Once I kill the radio and open the door it starts beeping.

I write it off as a design flaw. Not sure if it's more annoying than having the radio turn off once the engine is shut off or not though.

 

Headlights maybe....

 

^headlights are one continuous tone not a beep.

 

If you open the door before shutting off the engine, you'll hear 4 staccato beeps repeatedly when you shut off the engine.

If you shut off the engine first then open the door, you will not hear this.

 

Sometimes i turn off the car. Then open the door and it sets off my alarm.
