Hey CuthGood130, any luck with getting the part or even better having it fix your issue? It has been ~3 weeks now I hope that Infiniti was not pulling your leg on this one.

Hi All, just registered to contribute. Purchased a 2010 G37x S over the weekend (120 miles so far), I don't have the noise on the 2010 under the circumstances described here. I did here it on an 2009 that I test drive though.

I do here a similar noise on the 2010 when the cabin Heat/Fan is on. It's a very high pitched electrical tone. I don't know if its related yet. It's not as annoying as the noise i heard on the 09 because the sound of the Heater/Fan tends drowns it out.

Hmmm...this lead is sounding a lot like the one that announced a fix and then went nowhere on the 370Z forum a while back.

Hey all,

I followed up with my dealer's service manager today. He said the part was ordered and was supposed to arrive on the 26th of January, but it hasn't arrived yet. He's following up with his "Parts Director" and if he hears nothing, he will circle back up with the District Technical Specialist.

I will continue to follow up and will hopefully have the part installed soon, at which point I'll post about the repair and results. While the red tape, general unresponsiveness from the dealer and delays are certainty annoying, I don't get the feeling they're pulling my leg. I have multiple e-mails from the service manager and the district technical specialist referencing this specific part.

I hear it too at 700 miles on my 2009. The noise is one thing which can be covered by music, but my ears ringing after a drive is another larger problem

My countermeasure part has arrived and I am scheduled to have it installed at the dealer on the 16th. I will post again with the results and any additional information. Fingers crossed. Also, for anyone with an EX, the word from the DTS is that the countermeasure for that car (and I'm assuming other 3.5s) should be available in April.

punker, my e-mails with the DTS and service manager have just been follow-up to my in-person meeting: "the part is ordered", "the part is delayed", "the part is here"... that sort of thing. Hopefully between the info on this thread and the new post with the customer service info, you should be able to have the issue addressed. Good luck.

Mine vary's with my RPM. Do I have a grounding problem?

Don't try to hard. Consider yourself lucky if you don't hear it. As soon as you do notice it, you won;t be able to ignore it EVER AGAIN

^^ Does your pitch rise and fall with different RPM's - if so, it is not the G37 'whine' - the G37's whine is a straight up 10k frequency. Never varies, comes on with a certain rpm and stays there.

I had the part replaced and the noise is gone. See the new thread on the fix: https://www.myg37.com/forums/g37-sed...y-noise-8.html.

Looks like some people have been having problems with the new ECM, but mine has been good so far (although it's only been a few days).
