^ This is good to know. I currently am finishing up a lease on a 2010 Maxima. I've been able to get a good 25-26mpg avg out of each tank so I would enjoy being able to move up into an Infiniti and get similar mpg, especially since the G37 has almost 40HP more than the Maxima.

These mileages would be easier to achieve if you live in a relatively flat area.

Unless I lived in San Francisco, I'm not too worried about that.

Smarty, let me rephrase. I live in a hilly portion of Dallas-Fort Worth. This impacts my MPG by a significant amount, with my averages being close to EPA city ratings, even while doing mostly highway driving. When I lived in Western New York, my vehicles would easily perform near the top of EPA ratings, even while rarely seeing an interstate.

You can choose to be "smart" about it or you can listen to those who have lived in many different places. Purely up to you.

Wooh, chill out man. I was only kidding around. I hear you on the flat area comment. Luckily, where I live in NJ is not too hilly and is mostly farm land so it won't be bad.

I mostly drive in the city and I get around 13-15 depending on how hard I drive it, or how much gas is that week... lol.

I've taken a couple of trips with my G and I have managed an impressive 26-27 with 3 full sized adults and a full trunk, averaging 75mph.

I'm getting better MPG with my 3 week old G37S than I got with my recently traded in 06 G35

First three fill ups yielded 24.49, 25.39, and 26.19 MPG all on regular 87 octane and highway driving

Update 10/14/12

Photo taken after filling up and driving 50 miles to work at 65 MPH
