One of my water leaks is coming from the corners of the window. Here’s a few photos
of my G37 going through the car wash. Any quick fixes without having to spend another $1000 on this car? Thanks!
As I indicated in several threads, this is either the corner support seal failing or the drainage channels underneath the exterior A-pillar trim piece are clogged.
It's is not the sunroof drains or the firewall bulkhead plastic connectors, as you can see the water is coming in above the mirror mount and running down the door panel.
The issue is the rubber window corner support seal. I speak from experience because I just replaced mine for the exact same reason.
The mirror base seal is supposed to push up against the door seal but becomes cracked and depressed (no jokes please) with age allowing the water that comes down the a-pillar seal to run inside the door.
Did you figure it out? I took apart my door and can’t seem to get the support seal out!?
You have to remove the entire corner support from the door before you can remove/ replace the seal.
Remove the two (2) bolts towards the top and one (1) nut at the bottom. Once removed, the whole support will lift straight up.
