70% windshield - 30% all other windows.
2009 G37 Coupe Journey ~
The past 4 months I've put a lot into my car and today was the last major effort/expense. I finally got ceramic tint and only regret is I wish I did 70% all around since the 30% is much darker than I thought. Even the 70% is more reflective than I thought. I got Suntek ceramic.I live in Naples, FL and after being parked in the sun on a typical 90° day fir 7 hours it was much cooler than normal. Not heat free of course, but I didn't burn sitting down
I also just waxed the car. I wanted to test the Collinite 915. Got it for my roommates black Jaguar to make a few extra bucks but it looks great on my silver/platinum baby too!
A lot of people balk at the cost of ceramic tint. It once you feel the difference you can’t go back
70%? That’s almost clear no? I would do 50% on the windscreen personally.
Ive got 20% ceramic all around now minus the windscreen, and have had 5% in the past. 5 is a bit tough if you go to rural areas often, in the city though it’s totally fine.
Not sure if you saw, but I posted pictures. So no, it's obviously not clear. MUCH darker than I thought, but okay I guess. 30% is also much darker, but I said all this already. I guess it's what you're used to. I've tinted plenty in my years and this ceramic is darker than everything I used based off the same values.
Tint is not the easiest to pick up in pictures, especially with reflections. Hard to really get a good look at the windscreen, the sides are easy to tell though.
Different brands do make a difference. My tint guy doesn’t like working with Suntek and has used LLumar and Global on my previous cars. I prefer the blueish tint of the LLumar myself.
It is all relative though, your car so glad you’re happy with the windscreen at least.
Cops are horrible here (mainly the state troopers) on shades. The slightest of blue and you get a $111.00 ticket. At least that's what my last one was here. Suntek was by far the better I researched. Only one place with it here and he said it's hard to lay down because it's thickness but worth it. I hope so since the bubbles that are said to dissipate are many. The window of the G37 auto closing and opening that 1" each time the door closes was my main scare, but he heated it and I won't be driving it (or opening the door) until Saturday
