Slow 0-60, whats wrong?
Inertia. The weight of the wheel is spread out more on your 20s than stock 17s.
I think the prime example is an ice figure skaters when they do the spin move. When the skaters want to spin fast, they hold their arms closer to their body and slow down by extending their arms apart. The skater weights the same but speed can drastically changed by distributing the weight.
Also wider tires or sticky tires will create more rolling resistance

Not so sure....
Smaller wheels help with acceleration just by being smaller. Your car with 20's and 18's that weigh the same would be faster on the 18's. Bigger wheels, in a sense, change the gear ratio making your car accelerate slower but will have a slightly higher top speed. Smaller wheels have the opposite effect.
Slow 0-60s G37S sedan
Hello,
I too have been experiencing 0-60 times in the 6.2-6.4 range in my 2010 G37s sedan (59400 miles). I'm not sure what could be causing the problem. I reset the ECU, as suggested above, as the car was preowned when I purchased it. The only modifications I have done to the vehicle is add a K&N intake and switched out the stock rims for 370z rims of the same size. Does anyone have any ideas? I would rather not have to drive 50 miles to my nearest dealer if at all possible, although I am more than willing at this point.

To get the quickest 0-60 time. Uprev cipher log could be the most accurate than a stopwatch.
1) 1/4 of gas in the tank.
2) light weight wheels and Tires setup. I lot of folks only look at wheel weight and disregard tire weight when shopping for tires) . This can varies from 17 ibs to 28 ibs unsprung weight.
3) all 4 tires have properly infated.
4) Remove junk in the trunk.
5) lose some weight...??☺️
6) use highest octane available.
Technical :
1) DS mode
2) only brake torque in less than 4 secs. Anytime you prolong the brake torque, the more the ecu will cut power during launch to prevent torque converter damage.
3) find the best rpm for brake torqueing that does not feel bogging down.
4) vdc off
5) engine warm but not too hot.
6) open hood and wait 10 mins for every run.
Your number cant be that slow.
My 2008 EX35 AWD 5 speed AT did 6.12 secs 0-60 Uprev Etuned stock engine just dry air filter. I used a Uprev Cipher 0-60 logging. This is a 4,000 pounds Crossover on a 17 " wheel/tire combo.
