Looks like a lot of rust on the exhaust system for a 2 year old car (2013) with 11k miles. The car came from the northeast, Buffalo NY. I'm in norther NJ. Clean Carfax and one other VIN# search was clean as well. It was a 2 year lease, everything checks out. I'm just a little concerned on the exhaust.. the other main areas look good. Car otherwise is like new. I had a 2010 that didn't have as much rust on the exhaust.. but it was from Florida and Texas (no snow or salt).

The dealer said it was normal for cars in the northeast. Everything checks out good. They are forwarding the photos on to their Infiniti rep to check.

Mine looked similar when I bought it last year, was a CPO 11 with 24k miles. I think it's normal corrosion .

The dealer inspected my car today with me out in the service bay while the car was up on the lift. The service manager said it was normal, some surface rust, nothing to be worried about. So they say.. LOL! It is on record.

This is what happens when you never wash undercarriage from all of the winter salt in the NE. It's not "normal" and is a terrible way to treat a car.

The Infiniti rep said it was normal, who knows... It is on record if there is an issue with the exhaust they will cover it. I have it in writing. The car was very well treated in all other aspects.. I have all the dealer maint. records. The owner did everything. The inside, interior/seats, dash etc and outside paint look like brand new after 2 years. Even the 4 wheels look like new. Good luck with washing the under carriage.. been there done that in the past.. one I would take extra care with one I didn't.. they both weathered at the same rate. Doesn't make too much of a difference. You have to be careful with today's cars and their extra sensors when spraying up in there. The only real diff. is to not drive it when it snows or salt on the road, that kind of defeats the purpose of having an all wheel drive car. LOL!
