performance Ideas

Recently lost a little race. Need some ideas to help with performance. I already know the right tires can do a lot and I have that taken care of.

Cold air intakes, Replace the spark plugs and coils (if your G is a older one this will help a lot), exhaust, dyno, NOS, turbos, fuzzy dice

The exhuast is a ARK exhaust I'm good there. I was looking at coils from ark and wasn't sure if I should stick with ARK for most of that.

If you're RWD I'd look into KW V1s. No need to stick w/ one brand but take the time and review the tech folders.

Intake and exhaust and a tune. Or a turbo if you want to dish out the money for it

how about lose some weight? i don't mean the OP (unless that's an issue), but remove the spare tire, floor mats, portable electronics and all other miscellaneous crap that weighs a car down. and go with a 1/3 tank of fuel. i bet it all adds up to 100+ lbs easy. that equates to 0.1s in the 1/4 mile - because i assume this "race" was at the track. and at 100mph, 0.1s equals one full car length which is considerable.

as mentioned above, sticky summer tires are a huge factor for a solid launch. intakes and exhaust will not make a noticeable improvement unless part of a more extensive mod list for performance (not just looks and sound). other than that, make sure all your maintenance is up to date, and change the air filters.

i did all the above when at the track a while back. thought i was clever until my buddy said he'd done the exact same thing.

Coils as in plasma coils, not coil overs.
I'd imagine if you mod the coils then you'd also want to go FI.
But you said little race, so sweat the small stuff? IF it's pride and ego then get that wallet ready! GL.
