Mystery Button/Blank

Recently I got a 2013 coupe and absolutely love it First Infiniti and so far so good. I am curious, there is a blank button located near the key port and by the hood release lever, what option goes in the blank? Is it a EURO option or feature, such as the headlamp washers or front parking sensor cut off? You can see it in the pic above

I used it as a secret switch for switching from AWD to RWD

No clue what it is actually for though

Maybe for the older models that was true. I have AFS and mine was a blank too.

If no one can find an answer, I would assume it was for something that near production they decided to do away with or decided it didn't need a button, the molds were already made so they just threw a cap on it.

I have no idea though, just a theory and my opinion, but would love to know what it is for as well

I think that makes sense

But if it was, wouldn't the Japanese car be right hand drive and the molding would be completely different, so if that is true they wouldn't have to add the button blank because they would need a whole new mold for the dash for the left hand side drive?

which reminds me, a 1995 Nissan Skyline GTR right hand drive came in today...520whp, thing was sick!!!

It looks like a great place for a mod

I think my headlight brightness **** would work just fine there.

I wanted to use it as a button or switch to change between tune maps but was told it would be a nightmare to figure out the wiring. An espresso spigot would be nice Or maybe an easy button as advertised for Office Max.
