I will say that if the stuff I heard recently is true, we are in for a big surprise.

 

If Infiniti finally goes boosted, that will mean good things for tuners. But we will see next year. Not getting my hopes up though.

 

There's no "if", Infiniti has already confirmed a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 for the Q60.

I really hope all the extra time we are having to wait is being put to good use by Nissan/Infiniti in nailing this car.

 

My biggest fear is that they need more time or rush it to production. This car has so much potential, don't screw it up!

 

Considering that it is still on track to be released in spring/fall of next year, I would hope that another year is enough time to get it right! Otherwise they have big problems to work out within that company.

 

5 Months ago, I was told by the internet sales rep to expect a new coupe in Fall 2015.

Last month, I got a call asking me if I was ready for a test drive. I said, I'm waiting for the 2016 coupe. Isn't it coming out by Nov?

Rep said, nope, we don't have any info on the release date. I'll call you back when we have info.

So yeah, it's been pushed back again. Maybe due to the fact that the guy they STOLE from Audi quit. lol

 

I hope they are stalling to develop a new 6 speed trans to go with the engine choices

 

F*ck the 6.....its 2015.....we need to be competing with Porsches and Corvettes....

Pretty safe bet that the 6 will be the same or maybe slightly revised for the new Q60, but they won't be developing an all new one, as the cost would outweigh the benefits. If anything they will revise the 6MT & 7AT from the previous generation. The only transmission I could see them developing and putting lots of money into would be a new DCT.

 

...got my attention . We shall see, I remain optimistic until they crush my dreams.

I'd be good with the current 6MT (maybe different gearing...idk) or a DCT. I would be pissed if it was ONLY a re-relase of the current 7AT. That would be an epic fail on their part
