Has anyone ever had to get the door lock changed on your G? Unfortunately I have to as a result of a property being burglarized. I hadn't driven it in a while so I didn't have the key on me.

Is that a dealer only thing? I know the dealer has to program the key but their price for the locksmith work seems kind of high (lets not talk about the price of the key).

I was able to find uncut OEM keys for a good price but the locksmiths that I've called can't help.

I'm just trying to see if anyone else has had a similar experience before I take it to the dealer next week. Perhaps I didn't search hard enough for locksmiths that can do the work.

When the dealer pairs NEW ikeys to the car, the old ones are deleted and will no longer work with the car.

However, replacing the metal key will require any locks to be replaced.
