Starting to get hyped

I’m starting to get excited about buying a 2010 G37 Journey coupe. I know what I want and the price range I’m willing to pay.
After a long search I even found a independent mechanic that only works on Lexus and Infiniti cars. They are Even willing to look over a car before I buy it for FREE. That’s also the time I will do my test drive.
So NO....
I haven’t driven one yet. Just looked and sat in one, once. I know myself and if I would have drove it the day I looked at it I would have bought it on the spot.

I just have to go a round with the insurance company about rates and I’m ALL set. (That could be today or a month or so from now. It depends on when I feel like dealing with them.)

Does anyone have any last minute comments or advice?

Well you missed your window to buy on the last day of the month. We did that with our G and they were dying to make a deal. It's not a myth. Can't help ya out with insurance, I'm older and have been with State Farm forever insuring everything from bikes to boats to Dune Buggys so I'm only paying $520 per year with a $250 deductable. Have it checked out, make sure it's not a flood car, good luck!

Yeah, you might be able to squeeze out a better deal at the later days of the month. so if you're willing, wait until the last couple of days of this month to pull the trigger. And use the money saved to get the modding started.

I have all the time in the world and the one car I saw they said it's a no haggle price. No biggie there if they can't reach a deal someone else will.

I've been driving a Z for over 20 years so State Farms won't even take my calls anymore.

Is there some way to check for sure if it's a flood car or not? (Other then having it checked out)

Not planning on any modding. Other then window tint and a 3M clear bra.

Well you would look for water lines in the engine compartment, trunk, etc .... lift the trunk carpet. Look for corrosion on exposed metal parts that usually don't corroded. Get a CarFax and see where it came from.
