I love my 2011 IPL
The more I drive my IPL the more I love it!
I finally found a seat position that works for a wider bone width, and am getting more HP to the rear wheels by using DS and pressing in the traction control button.
The car rocks. I will put a front strut tower brace on it.. and sway bars. Thats enough for me.
After looking at the 370 Nismo not much to make the IPL the same if not better for me.
I don't want those super wide tires. mine are just fine.. But a shock tower brace does help, and sways really help ... so will add these handling mods ASAP.
Forced induction later if I feel I need it. ... So far happy w/o it.

Glad you're enjoying the car.
I see you're in NH... Just a suggestion: 2013 Foxwoods Cruise & Meet
Oh, and I have a set of Stillen sway bars for sale if you're interested.

But since max hp is at higher rpm then technically speaking he is getting "more HP to the wheels", no? Either way the car is much more fun to drive with vdc off, that's for sure.
D lets it lug... I would down shift sooner than D thinks is "OK" Had I not broke my leg/knee I would have preferred a Six speed. My truck is a six speed with an overdrive secondary transmission, so is a 9 speed. I like to match RPM to load to power needed. So at times I find myself unhappy with the 7 speed auto.
I feel DS is closer to my shifting..
All traction control and ABS does is do the opposite of what you want, ABS releases the brake power, traction control is applying the brakes when you may be wanting the opposite.
Many heated arguments on ABS, but I have proven over and over that in many situations it may actually double or triple you're stopping distance. Loose gravel for one.
traction control... my truck easily will spin both rear tires at 55 mph, solution is your right foot. We spend huge $ to make power ... why would i want my ECU or ABS or Traction Control, or any other safety options prevent my putting this expensive HP to the rear wheels. Let me choose when I want the safety settings.
Is it true that the ECU will not allow full Wide Open Throttle under 40 mph? If so is there a programmer or chip that shuts that BS and top speed limiter off? I have a "Smarty" programmer on my truck that lets it make real power (Cummins Diesel) and lets me set the top speed limiter and power levels, timing, tire diameter, boost, clear n read codes, etc.
I want my foot to control the limits not the computer. ABS is fine on dry pavement, dirt, snow, and imperfect road surface it may not help. The ABS was so bad on my 2000 Subaru I had to pull the fuse at the first snow.. had I kept it would have made a switch for it.
We did many tests and some were comical the ABS would allow the car to not stop at all on a hill with loose gravel on a dirt road. Also, double distances in many snow/ice conditions. Even four channel ABS in my Miata would, in some more limited cases, would prevent you from stopping even close to as fast as w/o it. But admittedly I can not beat ABS on dry pavement in a panic situation. It has its place but needs a lock out.

I'm not saying I approve or disaprove for ABS, but I remember reading an article several years ago claiming that it lead to an increase in single car accidents as the driver would hit the brakes then steer into something else (i.e guard rail), instead of the brakes just locking up and sliding "straightish" until the car stopped perhaps not hitting anything.
better said..

As for the traction I don't know of any way to fully shut it off yet since VDC will leave stability and ABS on. You can pull out one of the fuses to disable these (don't remember which one) but since your running a 7AT your going to be unable to put your car in park also. Don't ask me why its the same fuse controlling that lol.
Glad you're liking the car though
