2011 grill removal problems!!

2011 grill removal problems!!

so while following all the steps to remive the gill, ran into a problem....

there seems two be two steel pins holding the radiator cover in place,,,

i already snapped some of the plastic around one of the pins by accident.

any info on this?

push the plastic piece toward the engine bay then lift. Hope this helps

i did for about 20 mins with two grown men pushing, no way it can move any farther, it justtt stops right befre the end of the pins

Flex the bumper slightly while doing it.
It shouldn't be that hard. About ten bolts and some plastic clips.

Just checked on mine.
8 bolts, 7 clips.
I have the plastic pin things too, but they never cause a problem.
Flex the bumper and pop the front first.and go from there.

No problem. I have a feeling you are being too cautious with it. It's always a PITA for me, and never comes out smoothly. Use some force, but not enough to where you are being Hulk. Hope that makes sense.
It's just as much of a pain putting it back in with the steal bracket, that one of the two bolts in the middle fasten to, gets in the way.

wellp sadly i broke the radiator cover underneath both pins, not a big deal because you wont be able to see it once it is back on. I dont know if its something different with the 2011's or i just suck, but i couldnt figure it out. but i got it off, got my first layer of plastidip on the grill, will post pics of the breakage and the final outcome tn!

LMAO I guess you went Hulk on it huh? The hard part is putting it back on though. :P
