Tach Issue

It wasn't really a problem, more of an annoyance, but when I started my car this morning in "ICY" conditions (it was about 25 F) and I went back in the house to let it warm up for about 10 minutes. When I went back outside, the car was gone!! No, not really, just joshing.

Anywho, when I got to the light at the entrance to my subdivision, I noticed the tach was idling at "0" instead of it's normal 6-700 rpm. I was at a stop, I had the car in neutral, and my foot was on the brake like normal. I stepped on the gas through the light and the RPM rose like normal, but it seemed it was at a low number for the sound, like the 6-700 rpm low. I drove my 20 to base and before I shut off the engine, I noticed the tach was idling at 0 again and it had been every time I was stopped at a light along the way.

I started it in the afternoon after class and everything was fine again like normal. Any thoughts?

The tach and speedo are controlled via a circuit board behind the gauges and cluster. This will need a trip to your dealer...hopefully you can reproduce it there. Never know, maybe something is just loose.
