I have same issue and I am thinking about painting my interior pieces blue-slate. Anyone know if clearcoat will help prevent the scratching?

I believe that the 09' model interior door handle trim will not scratch/peel/damage as much as the 08' models do......just like the newer steering wheel bezels do not scratch or peel like the 08-10' models did..

Plastidip (lol). The CF looks pretty good. Where can I get that? Is there a clear protective overlay I can get?

Saw These on ebay thinkin bout jumpin on a set. These seem to be the 09+ trim which is a "WASHI" Aluminum finish.

I had my 2012 for 2 days, went to open my door and just tapped the aluminum with my watch and boom. Scratch...blows. You need to be really careful I guess. Or just replace.
