g37 cup holder

Anyone know how much the plastic piece that's inside the front cupholder of the 08 g37 in the shape of two half circle's cost? Where can I get them? Mine was working fine and next thing you know, the piece somehow fell out on its own.

You have to buy more than just that piece (they are inserts). You have to get the cup holder well and the closing door. Cost about $85-100 .... I bought my G used and it was missing the part you are describing. If you go to any Infiniti dealer the parts department can order it. Gives you a spare door in case it gets broken, which it could since it sticks up and could get globberd by an elbow or something. The part you are describing just slips into the cup holder well.

I think there are two small plastic pieces that stick out on both sides and the left plastic piece broke into the cup holder. Then there's the spring in the middle and I don't know where that goes, anyone have any info on this? I don't want to pay for a new one and I need the cup holder. Any help is appreciated.

Or...... You can convert it to storage like I did. Hated that location for drinks anyways, interfered with my arm and keeping my hand around the shifter. I bought two of those 20.00 starbuck's stainless coffee containers, match my G's interior perfect ( silver and black) and fits the door pocket holders better and tighter with NO rattles or spills, try these, they are awesome and like I said you gain a lot of storage. Oh,, and these things keep drinks hot OR cold for hours. For shizzle!!

I know, right? I don't think the cup holders could be in a worse spot for the MT. :/

While we are talking about those center cupholders, the rattling of my plastic water bottles in the center cup holders about drove me crazy, so I cut some black rubber perforated shelf liner (that you might get from the grocery store to line your kitchen shelves) to fit in the bottom. Put a couple of small dabs of silicone sealant to keep it down. No more squeaks / rattles.

I created a "nest" with starbucks napkins whenever i go to starbucks, so that whatever i put in there - a bottle, keys, coins, etc won't rattle when the car's moving. cost me nothing to do. solves the problem. the cupholders in the g are useless... why so low? my coffee mugs always get thrown to the passenger side on sharp turns. always have to hold them w. one hand whne taking sharp corners. how retarded. might as well just get rid of 'em and build a ipod dock.

Cupholder Repair

G37 team, the easy repair for breaking the tabs is to drill out where the tabs were and then cut a hanger and insert into the holes. Took about a half hour to repair.
