bah, they don't even offer AWD coupe in Japan, and sedan comes only with small 2.5l engine.

I drove a subaru for 8 years, i know how good AWD can get, but also I do know the trade-offs of bad gas mileage and extra weight.

Personally, AWD would be as much fun as sport package, but at the end of the day it should be up to you, go to dealer and try them both.

all season tires suck. get dedicated snow tires and dedicated summer tires. if you can afford the car, you can afford that. you can get an 18 inch winter package for little over a grand from tire rack

I had a '05 6MT and an 06 Auto/S when I lived in Chicago. You must remove the summer tires when temps regularly go below freezing, and get dedicated winter tires, NOT All season. Never had any problem at all driving in 4-6 inches of snow, and it performed way better than an Accord I had with all season tires. Now living in the desert I never take the summer tires off and love every minute of it.

My dealer stocks extra sport tires for just this occasion. If it means a sale of a new car he'd be willing to swap the wheels and tires for you, probably for an additional fee. Still better than you finding new tires later and trying to sell your old ones.

I have the RWD, & snow tires. I have lots of difficulty with inclines, of course, I live in Canada, so our winters are usually worse (except this yr, hardly any snow at all). The G37 is worse than the IS300 & my old 3-Series, all of which were RWD & had snow tires. G37 isn't a good winter car IMO, I would've got the AWD if it was out at the time.

You could play it safe and get the x and add the sport bumper and paddle shifters. There are other posts about adding the paddles. You would have to do without the seats.

To the OP, if you want to see what the 18" 9-spokes look like, look here:

Nissan/Infiniti News Room

20th Anniversary edition sedan, not a coupe, but you get the idea of how they look in the G.

The S is the only way to go, RWD is so much more fun. Just make sure to get a set of Blizzak snow tires, makes a world of difference in the car. I'm actually selling a set since I just turned in my lease, PM me if your interested
