No Issues for Warranty Work?

Hey guys. I have used the search button but never found an answer. I was wondering if the dealer would give me a problem with warranty work as I have some mods on the car. I have injen cai and a grounding kit. I would like the bring the car in for the battery issue, windshield popping from time to time, and high pitch frequency. Since the battery and high pitch frequency issue are associated with electrical, will the dealer be able to blame these problems on me having a grounding kit? Have any of you brought your car in with a grounding kit and have your battery replaced? I'm not so worried about the battery, but I want to see if they can replace the vent control valve that could possibly be causing the constant drain. Thanks in advance.

I just took mine in for a few things and had them check the battery while it was there and I have BB kit. They didnt say anything at all about it. All they do is check to see if there is a draw on the battery with the car off. I wouldnt worrie about it.

Ya, with a sub and amp installed they most likely not help you with your battery. I started to have an issue as well. - (hard starts after it sat all weekend, and head light flickering during deep bass hits) I have a JL Audio 10W6 and JL Audio 500/1 amp. I installed a capacitor and Optima yellow cap dry cell battery and I have not had any issues since.

The problem was I was putting too much of a demand on my cars battery and electrical system. The Cap helps stabilized the current draw so it doesn't kill your battery and also provides constant voltage to your amp for better bass hits. The Optima battery also is made for high electrical demands supporting the car and electrical accessories far better then stock batteries.

Oh, I also have a bunch of mods and am getting my drivers seat cover back and bottom due to a cracking issue. They are also fixing a noise around the gauge cluster shroud and in the windshield. After market parts should not affect these type of fixes. No problem with the dealer here in NM.

I will be bringing my car in this Thursday for the following issues: High pitch frequency inside cabin, windshield popping noise, battery issue, and premature seat wear (cracking). I'll keep you guys updated on whether or not they say anything about my mods.

I just had my dash cluster replaced last week due to noise from the glass. I have a bbgk and hfc and cai and the dealer didn't mention anything about it. I thought maybe they would blame the noise on vibration from my intakes but they didn't say a word and serviced my car just fine. They even gave me a loaner g35 sedan to have some fun with hahah.

Hey redline: just to let my know my high pitch frquency is gone after they replaced it so what ever they did fixed it. Let me know how the premature seat wear goes!

Thats great news!! Now i'm getting excited because I wont have that annoying high pitch sound anymore My dash cover is also peeling. The sides of the top cover that goes over the cluster are both peeling. I tried to re-glue it myself but it wouldn't stick. I'm hoping they will replace my seat covers as they all have small cracks. I'm afraid the dealer might just say its normal wear.

Thats one of the reasons I also went to the dealer. The dash piece above the steering wheel was peeling on both sides. They ordered me a brand new one and replaced it. I also took a ride with a tech so they could hear the noise. It was coming from the "dash cluster" (for lack of a better term) He could hear how annoying it was right away. It is only held in place by 4 screws and rattles around over bumps or high RPMs. They reset the glass in the gauge cluster because it popped out of place which was making the rattle noise.

Now the only sound I hear are my R2C's screaming and my Berk's growling!! lol

BTW.... Where you located in So Cal? Cause I took my car to Thousand Oaks Infiniti and they were really cool about everything.

If you have the emission valve issue that everyone has then that battery will dies fast too. Its not the Infiniti batteries that are bad, its the valve that draining it.

Update: Well I just got back from the dealer with no problems. They didn't say anything about my mods. I had the following fixed today: high pitch frequency, from what they say, was coming from my mufflers. They replaced the mufflers with a new set which, from what I can see, looks like its made of a different material. They just got the tsb for the valve that causes the battery to fail. Unfortunately, I will have the go back on Wednesday to get the battery and valve replaced. They didn't have the part in stock and will have it by Wednesday, so we will see. Also, my other problems will have to be fixed on Wednesday as they couldn't fix the issues i had today. Although they couldn't get the problems fixed today, metro infiniti of monrovia did give me excellent service and I would highly recommend them.
