Anyone remove moonroof wind screen?

I realize this is a bit extreme but the noise that comes from that thing when you're on the highway with the roof all the way back is ridiculous!! If I push it down with my hands it's nice and quiet and I can actually enjoy the open air feel. Just a thought...

I removed mine a long time ago after discovering the same thing. Its only to deflect wind that may blow in the rear passengers seat. Nobody rides back there nor do i care if wind blows in their faces haha. It comes out rather easily and i can ride at any speed an actually hold a conversation without having to yell while the sunroof is open.

For you guys that removed the wind deflector, did you notice increased wind noise with the moonroof tilted open at highway speeds?

On the contrary, less wind noise with the deflector removed.

There is one posted on g35driver. Thats where i found it at. Its not bad though. Just pull the metal clips on both sides out and it just comes right out. The clips are pretty flexible and wont break. So its pretty simple to do.

I usually have it open when the weather is nice, even in light rain as it just goes over the car... I wonder if that rain would go into the back seat with the deflector removed or down; Has anyone tested this yet?
It sure would be nice to have some device that would hold it down if you chose this... Maybe even velcro so you could just lift it if needed (just thinking).

To remove the wind deflector, just slide the sunroof open. From the outside, standing next to your car, if you look inside the sunroof opening, you'll see the deflector has 2 clips holding it down. Each clip has a bolt and nut. Just loosen the nuts and you can probably do this by hand. The deflector will come right off by just lifting it.

I removed mine for about a week and ended up putting it back in because there was a more annoying low frequency pressure type noise.

I think it would be better if we could rig it so it doesn't pop up as far.
