Are you manual or automatic?
I think the G handles damn good stock. And that 370z aint got anything on this modded G!
I've driven both,
and was impressed enough by the G37's handling and acceleration to put down a deposit for a 2010 model. That's a strong vote of confidence in anyone's book,
to put money down to back one's opinion. I've also put the 370Z through its paces on the continent's western edge (Hwy 1), a twisting road with rock wall on one side and a 200 foot drop on the other.
If I wanted pure sportiness out of a car, that one has the clear edge over the G. Don't get me wrong, I love the G coupe with it's refined interior, tech toys and rear seat, but it just doesn't live up to the handling and acceleration of the Z.
I don't think you'd find many others here that would disagree with that, either.
And all this from a nube who doesn't even own a G37... yet.

6MT. Once in a blue moon I wish I had auto, but that feeling is pretty rare. I always wanted stick and finally got it. If my first car was manual, then I might've opted for an auto.

^^^ All this sparring about AT v MT, and the OP says it best.
Every car I've owned has been an MT,
but when I buy my 2010 G37 it will be the 7AT. I want luxury with some sportiness.
For the "real men" preferring to control their cars, they made a big mistake buying a G37-MT and instead should have purchased the faster and better handling 370Z.
Just saying...
Good job, Mysticalism,
in sorting through all this homerism and reaching the right conclusion for you. For the MT drivers,
nothing replaces notching through the gears and commanding the tranny shifts with the skill of a maestro, even if your music isn't always perfect.
