That looks more like a 20-25mph crash + braking. No, I'm not an expert but I've been in many accidents and seen the results.

Glad you are not injured. Though you might want to see a doctor just to be sure.

 

^ agreed. What I am tripping about is that the damage there is 15k? My friends beemer who got rear ended just like that, but have the rear axles also destroyed, and the repair was about 10k.

 

Well I am taking it to another body shop for a new estimate. According to the owner of this other shop the estimate I was given takes into account a pretty big discount for it being the prefered body shop of my insurance carrier. They get sent all their work so they discount them pretty good. She said there is a good chance that her estimate will be closer to 15-16k. I am hoping they just total out the damn thing. My insurance is not happy with me now since I want a 2nd opinion.

This whole thing has been a huge pain in the ***. I spend on at least 1 hour a day total dealing with this mess not to mention time spent at the doctor and meeting with a lawyer.
